Is Birth Center Stone Oak Licensed/Accredited?
When choosing the birth place for your baby, your top priority should always be your and your baby’s safety. One way to ensure this is by making sure the place you choose aligns with health standards, and more importantly, is either licensed or accredited by your local authority.
Are all birth centers regulated?
In the United States, Midwifery is regulated at the state level. So every state has different standards for license and accreditation.
In Texas, every practicing midwife must hold a Licensed Midwifery credential from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Without a viable license, a midwife can not provide their services to a client. This means that for a birth center to be licensed, all healthcare providers must fulfill the criteria of having a valid license.
Does Birth Center Stone Oak fulfill the licensing criteria of the state?
Yes, Birth Center Stone Oak is a licensed establishment. All of our midwives are Certified Professional Midwives, which is a national credential through the North American Registry of Midwives. We also train all our providers internally to bring the best level of care to all our clients.
